The Danes combat this long season with hygge, by bringing light and cosiness into their homes & lives. Hygge is both a feeling and a way of living. It involves cuddling up on the couch with loved ones, lighting candles, enjoying a warm tea, and relaxing into your life.

Hygge Home’s products are designed in Denmark and manufactured in Indonesia.

The majority of our products are manufactured with a kiln dried mahogany frame, medium density fiberboard (MDF) panelling, and antique brass hardware. On each product page you will find the specific materials used listed under “specifications”.

All rattan products, including chairs and baskets, are hand-woven with all natural kubu rattan.

All of Hygge Home’s products ship fully assembled, with the exception of our beds, hutches and tables. These products require minimal assembly and assembly instructions will be provided with your order.

Once you place your order with us you will receive an order confirmation via email. We will then work with our warehouse to have your order fulfilled within 2 to 7 business days. Once your order is shipped we will send you a shipment confirmation with a tracking link so you can monitor your order’s shipment status online. Shipping can take between 7 to 14 business days. Small parcel orders will be dropped off at your doorstep as soon as possible by common carrier. For all large parcel truck deliveries, you will be contacted by the delivery company to have a delivery day and time scheduled (usually a 4 hour window is provided). After your order is confirmed as received, we will send you an email asking you to review your product and experience with Hygge Home.

We collect sales tax where we are required to by law. Any applicable taxes will be clearly shown at checkout.

Yes you can track your order online. When you order is shipped we will email you a shipment confirmation with a tracking link.

If the product you want is out of stock you can request to be notified when it is restocked by entering your email in the form on the product page. When we get this notification we will inform you of the expected restock date and ask you if you wish to reserve the product at that time. When the product is back in stock we will inform you and help you process your order.

We do not take custom product orders. If there is a product you love but it is not quite the right size for your home, please let us know. We do pass this feedback on to our manufacturing company and it may be taken into account in future designs.

Hygge Home is pleased to offer the following delivery options within the contiguous United States.

Front Door Standard Delivery: Small Parcel & Large Parcel Truck Delivery

We are pleased to offer FREE delivery on all Hygge Home orders. There is no minimum order amount required. Front Door delivery includes delivery to your doorstep (or first dry area) only, it does not include carry in or assembly services.

Flat Rate Premium Delivery: Large Parcel Truck Delivery

We are pleased to offer a flat rate premium delivery service for $99.00 for our bigger and bulkier products (subject to tax based on your shipping destination). To quality for flat rate premium delivery you must meet a minimum order amount of $399 before shipping and taxes.  Flat rate premium delivery includes delivery to your room of choice, light assembly services and the removal of packing materials. As a bonus, you will be contacted by phone from the designated freight carrier to arrange a delivery time frame that works for you (typically a 4-hour window).

All Hygge Home orders qualify for FREE SHIPPING with our front door standard delivery service. For orders above $399, you can upgrade to our flat rate premium delivery service $99 (applies to large parcel items only).

Items are shipped from our warehouse(s) and are delivered to your home between seven (7) to fourteen (14) business days in Metropolitan areas. It may take between two (2) to three (3) weeks in other areas.

Your order will ship from one of our warehouses located in Riverside (CA), Burlington (NJ) and Flemington (NJ).

If there is a delay in the delivery of your order, we will contact you as soon as possible. If for some reason your delivery window has passed and you have not heard from us, please contact us and we will let you know where your order is. In most cases we will already be aware of the circumstances and will be doing our best to get you your order as quickly as possible.

Hygge Home US only ships within the contiguous United States. We do have shops in Denmark, Sweden and Indonesia that ship within each respective country. If you are interested in placing an international order in one of these countries, please visit the appropriate website.

If you have changed your mind, or are unhappy with your order, you can return it within 30 days of your order delivery date. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To proceed with a return please get in touch with our team by email at info@hyggehome.com or by phone at 1-833-668-2765 so we can work with you in finding the best possible solution and walk you through our returns & exchange policy and process.

To return your product, send us an email at info@hyggehome.com we will send you instructions on how and where to send your item to. Our team will work with you to coordinate the pick up and safe return of your product.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, usually within 3-5 business days.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)

• Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error

• Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

In the unfortunate event that you order has arrived damaged, please contact us immediately by email at info@hyggehome.com or by phone at 1-833-668-2765. We will request a receipt or proof of purchase, and images of the damages.

After assessing the nature of the damages, we will work with you to find a solution, whether it is a discount on your purchase, a replacement or a return.

Under our warranty, we guarantee that all products will be free from defects in craftsmanship or construction for a period of 1 year from the original date of purchase, under normal use. This warranty, expressed or implied, does not apply to product damage that arises from misuse, negligence, alteration, accident, improper assembly, cleaned using wrong methods or products, or damage during transport. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear.
